 Dumb

I am not smart at all, I need to be told what to do.

Not in the way you think.

What I mean is that I need to know and be told what to do, not by anyone else but by myself. Sound contradicting? I get it.

What I mean is that I need to create structure in my to get what I want.

It starts with the structure of having a bigger goal focus each day, what do I want to work on?

Then breaking it into what the actual tasks are.

Finally, I just go follow that list.

The reason this is so important? If I did not do it I would spend my entire day trying to decide what to do.

Swallow the Frog

Listen I get it, telling people to do the hardest thing right away is one of those phrases that makes you feel good.

But really.

That does not help.

What does help? Break that frog (they do have delicious legs)

Break the frog into pieces that you can eat.

Make the pieces so small you cannot choke on them.

Make tasks so easy to do that you want to do them just to get them off your list.

That is how you swallow the frog.

Things I am glad I gave up.

  • Social media on my phone
  • Listening to excuses (my run)
  • Not planning out my day
  • Spending time with people who do not appreciate you.

The Quote

“Don’t cross oceans for people who wouldn’t cross a puddle for you”

There are some people who do not like this quote.

They think that you should help everyone no matter what.

I am not one of them.

The reason?

I would drown crossing the ocean.

Since COVID-19 I have come to realize how crappy some people treated me.

Only contacting me when you want to sell me something? No thanks.

The fifth time in a row I had to reach out and make plans? No thanks.

Only calling me to complain about your life? No thanks.

Only calling me when you need my help? No thanks.

Some people are not worth crossing the ocean for.

Don’t drown trying to save someone that won’t do a thing for you.
